A Pre-Mother's Day Adventure · Point Reyes National Seashore
E-Bike Ride to Alamere Falls
Saturday, April 25, 2026 · Five Brooks Trailhead
Imagine gliding along dramatic coastal cliffs on an e-bike, ocean spray in the air, wildflowers blanketing the hillsides — and rolling right up to one of California's rarest waterfalls. 🚲🌊🌸
This ride was born from a realization: after leading a group of moms on a 14-mile hike to Alamere Falls last month, the experience was so incredible that it deserved to be shared more widely. But not every mom is ready for a full-day hike. E-bikes change that. Same destination. Same jaw-dropping payoff. Accessible to so many more of us.
We're riding from Five Brooks through the breathtaking trails of Point Reyes National Seashore to Alamere Falls — one of only two tidefalls in California, where a waterfall cascades directly onto the beach. We've timed our arrival at Wildcat Beach for around noon, perfectly bracketing a -0.23 ft low tide at 1:16 PM, so you'll catch the waterfall at its most spectacular.
🤝 More Fun With Your Person
Everything is better shared. Sign up with a friend and you each save $10 — but honestly, the real reason to bring a buddy is that riding to a waterfall with someone you love is just ten times better. Plus, convincing another mom to take a Saturday for herself? You're basically doing her a favor. 😉
What Awaits Your Adventurous Spirit
The Rare Tidefall Wonder
Alamere Falls is one of only two tidefalls in California — a waterfall that plunges directly onto the beach. We'll time our arrival at the perfect low tide so you get the full magical experience: mist on your face, ocean at your feet, cliffs towering overhead. Bucket-list stuff.
E-Bikes for Every (Intermediate) Rider
Electric-assist bikes level the playing field on hills — and there are some real climbs on this route. The ride is rated intermediate: 17+ miles on mixed dirt surfaces with sustained climbs and twisty descents on fire roads. You should be comfortable riding a bike; the e-assist handles the effort, but basic bike handling skills are a must.
Spring's Peak Wildflower Show
Late April is peak bloom season at Point Reyes. Golden poppies, purple lupine, and coastal paintbrush carpet the hillsides. You'll be riding through nature's most joyful display of renewal — just in time for the season of celebrating moms.
Your Adventure Crew
You won't be alone out there. You'll be riding with a group of women who get it — the chaos of motherhood, the hunger for something just for you, the need to remember you're a full person beyond the family schedule. These are your people.
Expert Guidance — Zero Stress
We handle the logistics: route planning, tide timing, bike pickup, and all the details so you don't have to think about a thing. Show up, clip in, and enjoy. We've done the homework so your morning is effortless.
Optional Post-Ride Celebration
Conquered the ride and made it to the falls? Keep the energy going! We'll gather for an optional group lunch or dinner afterward — swap stories, relive the best moments, and toast to yourselves. (No pressure if you need to get home — the morning alone is worth it!)
Everything You Need to Know
Bring your own lunch and snacks. Bikes include a water bottle holder, but bring extra. All updates and logistics communicated via WhatsApp.
Ride Rating: Distance: 17 miles (+) · Intermediate — sustained climbs and twisty mountain descents on mixed surface, country roads.
This ride is about bike handling, not just fitness. The e-assist takes the sting out of the climbs, but you will be on mixed dirt surfaces (mostly fire road, possibly muddy sections) with real descents. You should be a comfortable, confident rider before signing up.
Who this is for:
- Comfortable riding a bike on unpaved surfaces
- At ease with descending hills — some sections are twisty
- Ready for a sustained ~2-hour ride each way (with breaks)
- Minimum height: 4'10" (bike sizing accommodated)
Who should sit this one out: Riders with zero or very limited bike experience. The e-bikes are incredible, but this route requires genuine riding confidence. There will be a short questionnaire before the event to help us match you to the right setup.
What to wear: Athletic layers, windbreaker, closed-toe shoes. Helmets, phone bags, water bottles, emergency rain ponchos, and knit gloves all included with your bike.

Late April at Point Reyes brings mild, beautiful coastal weather — typically low-to-mid 60s with ocean breezes that keep things fresh. Mornings can be foggy (hello, moody coastal magic) with sun breaking through by midday.
Layer up! Start with a moisture-wicking base, add a light jacket, and bring a windbreaker — you'll be moving and the coast can surprise you. Sunscreen is non-negotiable even on cloudy days.
We ride rain or shine. If genuinely unsafe conditions arise, we'll move to our backup date: [BACKUP DATE]. The call goes out via WhatsApp and email by [morning of / day before].
