(6/14) Hidden Waterfalls 💦, Turtles + Pond 🐢, Banana Slugs 🐌 & Wild Blackberries 🫐 (South Bay)

from $0.00

Sunday, June 14, 10 a.m.

💎 In the South Bay hills lies a redwood forest straight out of a fairy tale. Think hidden waterfalls, a turtle-filled pond, wild blackberries ripe for the picking, and traces of the people who called this land home long before us.

What to expect:

💦💦💦 Hidden Waterfalls: These aren't your typical waterfalls — the creek and cascades here are formed in a totally unique way you won't find on our usual adventures. Getting there is part of the fun (note: the trail to the falls is slightly challenging and not recommended for toddlers — but don't worry, there's plenty of water play for the littles!)

🐢🐸 A Wildlife Pond — if we're lucky! A serene pond tucked in the forest is home to turtles and frogs... but will they show themselves? Half the magic is the anticipation!

🐦🦋🐛🐌🦆 Wildlife Everywhere You Look: Birds, butterflies, ducks, banana slugs galore — and keep your eyes peeled for deer or even bats. Kiddos will be on the edge of their seats (and parents will be trigger-happy on their cameras!)

🪨🪨🪨 Indigenous Relics: We'll get to learn about and examine traces of the first people who called this forest home.

🌲🫐🌸🌼🪻 Wild Blackberries + Wildflowers + Lush Redwood Forest: Fingers crossed the wild blackberries are ready for snacking! We're also hoping to catch the last of the season's wildflowers, all surrounded by the most beautiful shades of redwood green.

🔍🔍🔍 Scavenger Hunt: Educational flash cards and a checklist your family gets to keep — engaging for every age, even the tiniest explorers!

🏕️❤️🫂 Community, Friendship + Support: This is an instant playdate — kids from toddlers to tweens all adventuring together. You might reconnect with MMH friends and make some new ones! Forgot baby wipes? Need a snack? Solo parenting today? We've got you covered.

🗺️ Make It a Full Day Trip! Have Lunch With Us: We'll share our favorite tips for exploring this corner of the Bay Area so you can turn the adventure into a whole day out and/or join us for lunch nearby.
