We'll kayak around the USS Hornet Museum, a massive WWII aircraft carrier β€” an unforgettable experience seeing this historic ship from the water! Please note that the kayak rental fee is separate from the FAS fee.

πŸ¦€πŸ πŸ¦πŸ¦ͺπŸͺ± INCREDIBLE Tidepooling at Crab Cove: With an exceptional -1.25 foot low tide at 5:45 p.m., we'll have 2 FULL HOURS of optimal tidepooling starting around 3:45 p.m.! Crab Cove is one of the best tidepooling spots in the Bay Area, with a protected marine reserve! We'll explore tide pools teeming with life:

  • πŸ¦€ Many types of shore crabs: Yellow shore crab, purple shore crab, striped shore crab, green crab, red rock crab, Dungeness crab

  • 🦐 Bay ghost shrimp (very common! - you'll see their burrows everywhere

  • 🐌 Snails and limpets: Checkered periwinkle, Eastern mudsnail, limpets
