Welcome to this Whimsical Playland in the Redwoods in the Santa Cruz Area!!
WHAT TO EXPECT:
👀🪨 MAGICAL PAINTED ROCK TREASURE HUNT! Someone has hidden dozens of painted rocks with googly eyes throughout the forest! Can you spot them all? It's like a real-life treasure hunt where every rock has personality!
🐌🌟 BANANA SLUG BONANZA! Get ready for the ultimate banana slug safari! These bright yellow forest friends are usually EVERYWHERE - hopefully, we'll see more slugs than you can count!
🐛🔍 BUG DETECTIVE MISSION! We'll become nature scientists, collecting and identifying all the cool creepy crawlies we discover!
🏰🌲 GIANT REDWOOD CASTLES! Hollow openings at the base of Redwoods create perfect fairy tale caves and hideouts. Plus, tree stump thrones fit for woodland fairies!
🏖️⛱️ SECRET SAND PIT OASIS! A hidden sandy playground tucked away in this shaded forest paradise - bring your shovels for epic digging adventures!
🏕️🪵 STICK FORT HEADQUARTERS! An amazing fort made entirely of sticks waiting for little architects to explore, rebuild, and make their own! Perfect for imaginative play and woodland adventures.
🌸🌼 WILDFLOWER TREASURE COLLECTING! Late-season blooms are still popping up everywhere. We'll enjoy nature’s bouquets!

DIFFICULTY LEVEL: EASY. The hike has a gradual uphill. You should be able to hike two miles total, with stops along the way for play plus lunch at the halfway point. Stroller/wagon friendly!

EVERY 10TH: For every 10th family who signs up for this outing, we can welcome a family for free. This is geared toward low income families. We don't check income; this is an honor system. If you want to join under the EVERY 10TH program, please write EVERY 10TH in the payment section. When deciding, we will give priority (among other factors) to those who have never joined an outing to ensure that everyone gets a chance to attend.
