DIFFICULTY LEVEL: MODERATE. The 4-mile total hike will be a gradual uphill to the summit. You should be able to carry your things over this distance while climbing uphill. There are a few steep sections and a few sections that have lose rocks or tree roots in the trail.

ITINERARY for MOTHER'S DAY (Sunday):

  • 2:00 PM: Meet at park main entrance

  • 2:15 PM: Begin guided hike with wildflower identification and nature connection activities

  • 3:30 PM: Summit celebration with group photos, meditation

  • 4:30 PM: Descent

  • 5:30 PM: Arrive back at trailhead

  • 6:00 PM: Group dinner at a local restaurant

When deciding, we will give priority (among other factors) to those who have never joined an outing to ensure that everyone gets a chance to attend.
